    Rift Rider draft complete!

Cue the four-piece jazz ensemble -- I finished the Rift Rider draft yesterday. I'm delighted with the result. It still needs some development and a good line edit, but I'll let it rest for a few weeks as I dive into book 2.

I think I've set up enough questions to carry a five book series, my intention. Some characters need additional development, but the lead is strong. That's my opinion--you can tell me if I'm correct.

The first book will launch in a few months, and hopefully, book 2 will roll along now that I have a series arc and some key characters. Stay tuned as my word count increases.

    Why I Write

I write as an act of presence and compassion.

My stories are my offering back to the world — to entertain, to soothe, to remind others that wonder still exists.

Each word is a breath shared: receiving life, then giving it back.

I release the need for perfection or acclaim; I return to curiosity and care.

May my writing bring warmth to those who read it, and peace to the one who writes.

This is my path — a steady practice of attention, generosity, and joy.

    The new website is here

Well, my new website is live. I'm happy with how it turned out though there are plenty of finishing touches to come.

For anyone interested, I used React.js and Tailwind CSS to pull it all together. The time portal imagery on the front page, powered by Framer Motion, works well teasing my upcoming series After Time.

Now, off to finish the first book in the new series. Stay well.

    A Blast from the Past

Back in my LEGO Creative Director days, I commissioned Templar Studios in NYC to produce an online game to feature the new LEGO Bionicle toys. Here’s a terrific 30-minute documentary about its production.
